<< BackRemember When?
Thank you to Ira "Giggles" Somers '93 for answering our recent call for memories.
He writes, "During pledging (Fall, 91) we had the bright idea to purposely leave the Phi Tau flag flying past 5:00...making it open season to be stolen by neighboring fraternity's pledges. At 4:45 p.m., the 20 or so Phi Tau pledges hid in different spots within an egg's throw of our flagpole, because we each had 1/2 dozen eggs and were prepared to thrown them. At 5:01, when the unsuspecting neighboring pledges attacked our flagpole, we attacked them, firing eggs from every direction. The plan was executed perfectly. Until the NEXT day when we forgot to take our flag down at 5:00 and Pi Kapp's pledges stole it. They made us drink raw eggs to recover it."
